E-Tech Petroleum’s Pressure Differential Tool

Seismic (sound) technology has been used for decades to locate oil deposits. ETech takes a slight spin on that technology. They developed a very efficient
downhole tool based on “inefficiency”.

A small 1” diameter tool is permanently installed downhole, then a circuit of
water is continually passed through the tool. Because the tool is designed to be
“inefficient”, the water causes it to vibrate. These vibrations create soundwaves
that travel through the surrounding rock. Sound travels in compression waves
which vary the pressure in the rock allowing it to more easily release oil.
